The Christmas Program Coordinator will be responsible for the set-up, implementation and clean-up/inventory of the Christmas Toy Program for House of Blessing. You will be providing instruction and supervision of volunteers as well as ensuring a wonderful experience for the clientele of House of Blessing. You will work closely with the Intake Coordinator and will report to the Executive Director.



  • Prepare,  organize and implement  our Christmas Toy Program within the guidelines of House of Blessing’s policies and procedures

  • Work closely with Volunteer Coordinator to ensure volunteer availability; train & supervise  volunteers on the processes and expectations

  • Work closely with the Intake Coordinator by providing accurate and detailed record keeping, tracking volunteer hours,  maintaining a master schedule, preparing reports and evaluating the program

  • Complete inventory and organization of all Christmas items in January



  • Attend community events as required to educate community on the program and/or represent House of Blessing

  • Other duties as assigned



  • Must be a people person (a social service background would be preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a cooperative team environment

  • Organization and attention to detail is required

  • Proven ability to problem solve and initiate conflict resolution effectively

  • Event Coordination is a definite asset

  • Experience working with volunteers

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively

  • Excellent communication skills ( verbally and written)

  • Demonstrated computer skills in MS Word and database applications



This is a 3 month contract. Wages will be based on experience. Office hours are normally from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. however, engagements during evenings and weekends may happen. He/she will work in a professionally equipped office.  Parking is provided.  Travel around the city may be required.
