"Many hands make light work"
This old saying is true at the House of Blessing. We
would like to commend all of the dear people who give of their time, talents,
and energy to make the House of Blessing function. We literally could
not do it without them.
To give an example, we have a dedicated volunteer named
Roy. He is a retired farmer/lay minister who felt he could give some time
to this organization. Well, what a blessing he has been! He organized
our food storage room and then proceeded to learn how to distribute the
food in our Food Bank. Our clients appreciate his kind words and caring
attitude. Roy always comments on how much he enjoys coming to volunteer
here at the House of Blessing, because he feels good about what he is
doing, and also makes him feel useful. This is what blesses us; Roy is
being fulfilled and so are we by having him here. Thank you Roy and all
of the other great volunteers!
We are always in need of more volunteers. Whether you're a young student,
right through to a retired senior, you can volunteer as much as you are able
in whatever area you feel would be good for you.
