Construction! Construction! Construction!
Moving
from a house to a 9000 square-foot building has been quite an effort but
well worth the work! This past year has been full of new challenges and
opportunities. Since the move, our client base has nearly doubled! We're
now just counting down the days to the completion of our lower level and
can't wait to put it to use!
A
large part of the challenge with this move was coming up with the finances
to cover the costs of purchasing the building and making renovations.
We're happy to announce that thanks to foundations, organizations, businesses,
and individuals in our community, we've been able to put $340,000 towards
our new building. As wonderful as this news is, an additional $46,000
is needed to finish paying for the lower level renovations, and we still
have a mortgae of $255,000. We hope
that with the continual support from our community we will be able to
cover these costs by the time of our Open House on September 6, 2003.
Since this construction project began in 2002, we have
been pleasantly surprised, on numerous occasions, just how many people
have given their time and expertise to our renovations. We are entirely
grateful to everyone who volunteered to help us turn the House
of Blessing into the centre of caring it is today .
